The Taste Buddies website is produced by the American Institute for Cancer Research as part of our children's education program. The Web site is aimed at 7-11 year olds and strives to encourage healthy eating and an active lifestyle in a fun and informative way. We hope that by visiting our site, children will become familiar with healthy living messages and develop positive habits that will follow them through adulthood.
Scientific research shows that about a third of the most common cancers could be prevented if we eat a healthy diet, maintain a healthy weight and get at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. Due to the age of the target audience, this Web site does not refer specifically to the link between healthy living and cancer prevention.

In general, any information provided to the The Taste Buddies website will only be used by the Taste Buddies (run by AICR) and will never be given to anyone else without consent. The exception to this is when we are obliged or permitted by law to disclose it. We will not use personal information for any other purpose than that stated when it was obtained and we will not pass this information to a third party.
We stipulate that children (aged 16 or under) need permission from a parent or guardian before providing us with any personal information. Without this consent, we cannot accept personal details. If a child wants to send us a picture, letter or joke, or wants to enter any of the competitions we are running, they must get permission from a parent or guardian.
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
